Mathew Kuhn

Mat Kuhn, the co-founder of Compsafe Training, describes himself as a reluctant course developer and trainer—a candid reflection from someone at the helm of a training-focused business. Mat's journey in training and development is driven by a desire to challenge conventional teaching methods and foster a more interactive and participant-driven learning environment.  His approach is grounded in humility and a keen awareness of the inherent presumptions in traditional training dynamics. Rather than starting sessions by boasting about his qualifications, Mat chooses a different path. He encourages participants to critically evaluate the value of the content for themselves, promoting an open dialogue where challenging the material is not just accepted but encouraged. Mat's method involves posing as many questions as answers provided, likening his courses to assembling a puzzle where each participant contributes unique pieces based of their experience.

Leveraging his vast operational experience, Mat guides groups through the process of building their own solutions to proposed problems within their specific operational context. His background enables him to provide insights into why specific actions are effective and when they should be applied. This approach not only enhances the learning experience but also ensures that participants understand the practical application of their new knowledge in real-world scenarios. Mat fosters a learning environment where the collective goal is to uncover the most effective operational outcomes together.

Participants in Tony’s sessions can expect rigorous, scenario-based training that prepares them for real-world challenges. His courses are designed not just to impart knowledge but to build the skills and decision-making abilities that regulatory professionals need in the field.
